Walking Stick Golf Course, Pueblo, CO 1991
walkstick.jpg
Tile mounted on curved concrete wall 4' H by 23' L

Since 1991, when we created our first sculpted & glazed tile sign for WalkingStick Golf Course, we have been involved in designing and carving over eighty (80) of these signs.

They've been mortared to concrete, mounted on stucco, surrounded by brick, and framed in stone.
They're free-standing entry walls; they have been mounted on buildings....and hung in steel frames from beams.

Tile panels as small as four sq. ft. and as large as 7' high by 19' wide. Just about any type of application and any size is possible.

Pine Creek Golf Club

Colorado Springs,CO 1999

In 1997, La Plata Investments, the master developer of Briargate, had the vision of creating a master-planned community in northeast Colorado Springs that offers the luxury of living on an 18-hole championship golf course or in a natural open space community with all the amenities and conveniences of nearby Briargate.

In the spring of 1999 that vision became a reality with the opening of Pine Creek -- 976 spectacular acres of rolling hills, high plains grasslands and the meandering Pine Creek nestled among the greens of the Pine Creek Golf Course.

Since 1998, Jon & Karen have created more than twenty sculpted and glazed tile entry monuments and hanging signs for Pine Creek Golf Club and the surrounding Pine Creek neighborhoods.

Spanish Oak at Pine Creek 1999

tile area: 2' high by 7' long

This entry monument for Spanish Oak at Pine Creek uses the sculpted tile, surrounded by a natural ryolite stone, plus lots of great landscaping, typical of all the Pine Creek neighborhoods.

Summerfield at Briargate, Colo. Springs 1995
sumrfield.jpg
Tile area: 3' high by 18' long on curved wall

This attractive entry, created in 1995,uses the glazed tile surrounded by brick, demonstrating the sculptural possibilities with the various flowers "underlining" the Summerfield name. This neighborhood is part of the Briargate master development, another La Plata Investments project, "next door" to their Pine Creek development.

Briargate is a 9,600-acre master-planned community with spectacular views of Pikes Peak and the Front Range, located on the north side of Colorado Springs.

Sage Hill at Pine Creek - 2001
sagehill2.jpg
18" by 36" double-sided hanging tile sign

Even sculpted & glazed tile signs can be "hanging" signs, as shown in this Pine Creek neighborhood sign in Colorado Springs.

This one measures 18" high by 36" wide and is double-sided. This Sage Hill sign is in addition to a larger entry monument, surrounded with native Colorado stone.

Another hanging sign for a different client, is over six feet wide. To say the least, the supporting frame is "heavy-duty" and looks great.
